THE LAWN IS OPEN!!!

I walked up and the thin red rope that they put aroudn the edge was up, yet there were random-looking people walking up on the grass on the other side.  Jeff showed up, and we decided it was open, which turns out to be true.

Myles Kane showed up, excellent timing as always.   The grass was cool and extra-green, lots of kids and people out.   It is reminding me, however, how hot it can get.  Getting back to the office a sweaty mess is no longer a luxury I have.

Lastly, the lawn again, OPEN, and full of relaxing people.  Summer, here we come...

The sky and forecast were threatening rain, which did not materialize.  I put the word out on the wire, and Paul was the only one who answered the call.    Overcast had the park a lot less crowded than usual, so we had elbow room down by the grass.    The grass looks amazing!

It has now been one year to the day we have been doing the lunchtime juggle at Bryant Park.
Many thanks to CJ, Seth, Devin, Alicia, Sarah, Ming, Rick, Krista, Marcus, Paul. Paul, Andrew, Deslyn, Penda, Charlie, Mario, Jeff, Schmule, Avram, Meyer, Kelly, Cindy, Kallie, Kati, and anyone else who came more than once, and thanks to those who came only once, too!

The lawn has been completed!  Now it is just a matter of waiting for the roots to be established, and we are in business.  Andrew, David and Jeff were all there.    Here are the pictures.  Also a couple from last week.

Seth , Krista, and Alex for the Monday juggle.  We ran a three-person feed for a while, with me and Seth as feeders.   After Seth left, I introduced Krista to a three-count waltz pattern.    As we were wrapping up, I realized that half of the lawn has already been installed!
